I am keeping this blog!

It won’t be about my projects in design for media as I am done with that class for the semester. I am keeping it for processes, ideas, influences and my own mind maps for my future works.

I will occasionally post my older work, work I am proud of, school stuff and recent things too.

Hope you keep following me!

Final: Polaroid transfer sandwiched between Resin placed in a Wooden frame

Changes from idea: Made individual frames for 2 of the resin pieces that were made.

Portrait’s were taken.

HOME WOOD SHOP! - MAKING THIS PIECE COME TO LIFE! :]

Update! :

I finally got all my equipment together: transparent dye, extra film, clear tar gel, resin mold releaser.

Experimented with the clear gel and transparent dye -the rectangle yellow resin used the transparent dye, a little too much to make it yellowish and with the clear gel, it didn’t work at all with this material. Learnt from that experiment!

Therefore - I will be using the transparent dye rather than the clear gel for the final and use the square mold as the final.

I also wanted to experiment with the rectangle shape to keep my options open but it felt weird moving away from the shape of the polaroid.

ALSO: woodshop work NEEDS to be done. Drew out that exact sizes of the resin molds to cut them out - debating on cutting down the sides of the wooden board as well so there isn’t huge chunks of negative space!
